Click the "L" button on the note editing tool bar.
The text cursor appears below the note, where you can enter the text directly. Pressing the down arrow takes you into the next line below, which would be verse two. Because you can only enter 9 verses, you can only step down 8 times. If you find that the text is too close to the staff, you might step lower two or three times, effectively entering the text for the first verse in the 2nd or 3rd verse's line, thereby reducing the possible 9 lines to 6 or 7. Please use one line only for each verse and start in the first line without skipping empty lines. If you want to modify the gap between the staff and the first line of text or between the lines of text, go to menu format | voices (lyric verses) | lyric verses.
