There are two options to enter notes in a different clef:

  • Example 1: A cello voice is to be played by a viola (or vice versa). The clef has to be changed, but the sound must stay the same, i.e. a c' must stay a c'.
  • Example 2: A tuba voice is to be transferred to the treble clef (common in some places). In this case the sound may not stay the same, otherwise innumerable ledger lines will appear.

As capella cannot intuitively grasp which of the two options is wanted you can select a specification via Extras-Options...:

Even with correct setting it may happen that capella does not hit the pitch you wanted to have. Then you can correct this by "transposing" by an octave.
